June 27, 2017: The Chase

This Green Heron had just caught a fish from Pond J's outflow culvert (into the south lake).  As the heron flew off, a male Red-winged Blackbird chased after it.  Apparently, the heron had gotten too close to a nest. (Wolf. Oesterreich, 5/23/17)
