A Northern River Otter was seen at this pond. I was able to follow its movement underwater by watching the direction of the bubbles. In this photo, the otter has emerged among a set of its bubbles. Earlier in the day, 3 otters were seen in the pond. A Great Blue Heron marched along the east shoreline, following the otters as they moved northward. The heron was on the lookout for any fish that tried to get out of the way of the marauding otters. (Wolf. Oesterreich, 10/5/22)
