Check out those small greenish
birds that seemingly never stop to rest in your shrubs and trees. Two
species of kinglets are now passing through. The Golden-crowned Kinglet
(left) is the more colorful and not as abundant as the Ruby-crowned Kinglet (at
right). The "ruby" is only visible when the bird is agitated. (Wolf. Oesterreich, 4/13/18)

April 16, 2018: Northern Shrike
One of the last of this season's Northern Shrike before heading north.
This shrike was found below the Upland Trail, just east of Jensen Pond. (Wolf. Oesterreich, 3/29/18)
April 14, 2018: Turkey Vultures
Turkey Vultures have been seen
since the 13th of March at the Park. This one was found perched in the
savannah woods. (Wolf. Oesterreich, 3/25/18)
