March 27, 2022: Eastern Bluebird

March 21, 2022: Ross's Geese

Skeins of Snow Geese, sometimes with 1 or more Ross's Geese mixed in, have been migrating northward.  These 4 Ross's Geese stopped for a brief rest on the south lake's open water.  Compared to Snow Geese, Ross's Geese are smaller, have a more rounder head, with a short stubby bill, and lack the grin patch on the bill.
