The heavy rain of the 14th caused some flooding at the Park
and damage to the unpaved trails. The photo on the left shows an overflow
from Pool C across the lakes trail and into the north lake's west bay.
The photo on the right is looking up the Upland Trail (east of Jensen Pond)
with a deep rut containing runoff from the SE corner of Jensen Pond. With
less infiltration areas due to the new housing development along the north side
of the Park and a plugged outflow pipe that drains Jensen Pond, the water had
no where else to go but down. This is the worst I've seen along this
trail. (The Parks Department "fixed" this part of the trail the
next day.) (Wolf. Oesterreich, 6/19/18)
