The annual Great Ames Adventure Race occurred on Sunday
morning (8th) under a cloudy sky and cool temperatures. The race consists
of three legs: 2.5 mile kayak-canoe event (at the Park), 15 mile biking event
(north of Ames, mostly county roads), and a 5K running event (at the Park). (Wolf. Oesterreich, 9/8/19)
