May 25, 2016: Common Carp

If you have been walking around the main lakes recently, you may have noticed the splashing, especially along the shorelines.  It's breeding time for the Common Carp.  This photo shows one trying to jump over Weir N, into Pond N.  I observed at least 2 that made it.  The presence of carp is the main reason the waters of Pond N are so muddy. 5/27/16 (Wolf.
