June 17, 2017: Red Admiral

Since the 14th, the number of Red Admirals at the Park has exploded, with approximately 100 to over 300 individuals being sighted.  Unfortunately, many were nectaring on noxious weeds (Crown Vetch, Wild Parsnip, & Canada Thistle).  This photo shows the underside. (Wolf. Oesterreich, 6/14/17)
