Familiar Bluets have been rather uncommon this year.
Normally I would see dozens a day, but so far I'm fortunate enough to find
one. This blue form female was found near the bridge. (Wolf. Oesterreich, 7/14/18)
Total Length: 28-39 mm
Hind Wing: 16-21 mm
Iowa Flight Season: May-October
