The numbers of Green Herons have increased as they migrate
southward. They have nested in the past at the Park, but I have no nests
recently. One to two can usually be found on Pond J, as they stand on the
pondweed searching for fish and amphibians. (Wolf. Oesterreich, 9/2/18)
