Feb 19, 2019: Ada Hayden Hoarfrost



When the air temperature cools to the frost point and further cooling occurs, water vapor can change directly to ice without becoming liquid first, a process called deposition.  The delicate, white crystals of ice that form in this manner are called hoarfrost. (Wolf. Oesterreich, 2/19/19)
