An adult Trumpeter Swan with yellow feet and legs is quite unusual, as black is the normal color. Trumpeter Swan totals kept rising this month and then leveled out, with the new grand total of 279 set on the 23rd. The table below shows the daily totals, with the green xox indicating days that I wasn't present early enough to obtain a total. For the 22nd, an unknown number of swans had already headed out to feed before my arrival. Beginning with the 4th, one of the 5 immatures with green collars (#7P6) stopped being present. Up to 4 Tundra Swans, 1 adult Ross's Goose, and 1 Snow Goose (blue-morph) were also present most days. (Wolf. Oesterreich, 1/21/21)

This total is 14 species less than last month and 2 more than January 2020. January 2019 with 49 species remains as the highest January total, while January 1998, with only 18 species, remains as the lowest.
