Skeins of Snow Geese, sometimes with 1 or more Ross's Geese mixed in, have been migrating northward. These 4 Ross's Geese stopped for a brief rest on the south lake's open water. Compared to Snow Geese, Ross's Geese are smaller, have a more rounder head, with a short stubby bill, and lack the grin patch on the bill. (Wolf. Oesterreich, 3/15/22)
