Aug 12, 2018: Record Loon

I was quite surprised to find this Common Loon (in breeding plumage) on the north lake on July 6th.  This loon may be the first July record for Story County.  Unfortunately, the loon was only present that afternoon/evening. (Wolf. Oesterreich, 7/6/18)
