There is still a little bit of open water, around which the waterfowl have concentrated. Numerous Canada Geese, 104 Trumpeter Swans (69 adults + 35 juveniles), several Mallards, and 1♂ Lesser Scaup were observed today. Last week, on the 17th, a record number (199) of Trumpeter Swans were found, plus 1 adult Tundra Swan. A female Gadwall, an American Black Duck, and 2♂ Green-winged Teal have also been recorded within the past week. (Wolf. Oesterreich, 1/23/20)
