On her second attempt, this Snapping Turtle is in the process of digging a hole in which to deposit her eggs. Two days ago she tried to dig a hole on the trail, but found it too compact. After completing the hole, she started to deposit the eggs, at least a dozen total. (Wolf. Oesterreich, 6/4/21)
