Shortly after arriving home I received a text from Paul
Domoto stating that there were 7 American Avocets in the shallows at the NE
corner of the north lake. I quickly returned to the Park and found
them. As kayakers approached they took flight. They are
transitioning into their winter plumage. (Wolf. Oesterreich, 8/12/21)
