A relative of the Killdeer, one Semipalmated Plover visited the Park in the early days of September, at the south lake's SW corner (peninsula area). Semipalmated Plovers are smaller than Killdeers (7.25" vs 10.5"), have a shorter bill, and have only one breast stripe. (Wolf. Oesterreich, 9/4/21)
