***Friends of Ada Hayden Heritage Park Members***
The Friends of Ada Hayden Heritage Park have submitted a request for the city to acquire the 170-acre property to the west of Ada Hayden Park now called Rose Prairie, to address 1) further protection of water quality in the Ada Hayden Watershed and, specifically, the City of Ames secondary water supply, 2) park needs in the northern growth area of the city, and 3) development pressure and impacts on the existing Ada Hayden Heritage Park.
The item will be discussed at the 11/24/20 City Council Meeting. The links below lead to information regarding the request. If you are so inclined to support looking into this acquisition further, please let the Ames City Council know with an email of support to MayorCouncil@cityofames.org.
