Aug 29, 2019: Giant Swallowtail

A Giant Swallowtail was found along the lower part of the bluff spur's west arm.  I might see one for every 20 Eastern Tiger Swallowtails. (Wolf. Oesterreich, 8/18/19)

Aug 28, 2019: Wandering Glider

Wandering Gliders are the only dragonfly known to occur on all the continents except Antarctica.  Although they can be found in Europe, they do not breed there.  They are also one of the few that do migrate.  Wandering Gliders are considered our most highly evolved dragonfly species.
Total Length = 47-50 mm
Hindwing Length = 36-42 mm
