July 15, 2017: Feeding Frenzy

If you've been at the Park recently, you may have observed areas of splashing on the main lakes.  This is caused by schools of hybrid striped bass on a feeding frenzy.  These stripers herd up schools of shad and then attack.  [My suspicions were confirmed by Jeff Kopaska, DNR Fisheries.] (Wolf. Oesterreich, 7/9/17)
