Dec 25, 2017: Sunrise on the South Lake

Just prior to sunrise, the bluff area is illuminated by the first rays (above).  Three-fourths of the south lake is covered by a thin layer of ice.  Then, minutes after sunrise, the trees are "bleached" by the rays (below). (Wolf. Oesterreich, 12/20/17)
