June 12, 2018: Fawn

As I was following a trail between Pool F and Pond P I startled a White-tailed Deer doe in the shallow waters of Pool F.  She snorted and her fawn dropped to the ground, in the mud and water.  She bounded off and accidentally stepped on her fawn, which let out a cry.  After a minute, the fawn got up, walked towards my position, and then dropped down again.  The fawn remained in this position for some time.
