Jewelweed (Impatiens biflora) are commonly found in
damp woodlands, especially near streams. This plant was found along the
south lake's outflow channel in Calhoun Park. The juice of this plant is
supposed to provide relieve the itch of poison ivy. (Wolf. Oesterreich, 8/1/2019)
